Blessed are the merciful

for they will be shown mercy

Those who show compassion will receive compassion

Those who promote peace and reconciliation reflect God's character

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven

Those who suffer for doing right will be rewarded

Kingdom Values:

The Beatitudes describe the values and attitudes of those in God's kingdom, which are often opposite to worldly values. They show us what true blessing and happiness look like from God's perspective.
